Job summary

Garden State Orthopaedic Associates seeks an experienced RN Leader to join our Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center as Assistant Director of Nursing. The role supports the Director of Nursing in coordinating nursing and perioperative services, ensuring safe, efficient patient care aligned with state and federal regulations.

Key duties include clinical leadership, staff supervision, and ensuring regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and quality improvement across departments.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey.
• BSN preferred.
• 3–5 years perioperative/ambulatory/orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical and perioperative operations management and supervision.
• Leadership and staff supervision across nursing and perioperative teams.
• Quality, safety, and regulatory compliance oversight.
• Equipment, supplies, and surgical readiness management.
• Administrative duties and effective communication with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff.
