Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Seacoast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in New Hampshire seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic at Portsmouth and Somersworth locations. APPs work under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director and the Practice Manager, with scheduling that is flexible but typically 40 hours per week onsite.

The role provides direct patient care for a range of orthopedic conditions, including arthritis and sports

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant required.
• Licenses and Credentials: Physician Assistant State License - Generic - HR Only required
• Experience: 2 years of experience as a PA required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Documents admissions, progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
