Zusammenfassung

Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a Medical Scribe/Assistant to support physicians by transcribing detailed patient information into medical records and preparing patients for visits. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, preparation of prescriptions, and patient education materials, ensuring efficient patient flow in a high-volume orthopedic setting.

The position requires a Medical Assistant Diploma or MA certification and prior scribing experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma is required.
• Medical Assistant Diploma, RMA license or MA Certification required.
• Prior experience as a Medical Scribe preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Obtain all necessary information from patient records for the visit.
• Retrieve patient digital films from Medview for physician review.
• Ensure clinic zones are stocked with medical supplies and prescriptions.
• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Transcribe accurate patient information into medical records during visits.
• Assist the physician during visits with injections, suture removal, dressing changes, etc.
• Prepare prescriptions and patient education materials.
• Ensure patient understands physician instructions and follow-up care.
• Breakdown patient charts and dispose of PHI appropriately; scan forms.
• Clean exam rooms and replace red bags/sharps as needed.
• Restock exam rooms and MA station for the next day.
• All other duties as assigned.
