Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Northeast Florida is seeking a detail-driven Medical Scribe to document patient visits in real time, enter histories, exams, results, and treatment plans into the EHR, and support labs and radiology reports while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or 1 year orthopedic scribe experience.
• CNA, Pre-Med students or equivalent healthcare certification are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience (orthopedics a plus!)
• Tech-savvy, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.
