Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Northeast Florida is seeking a detail-driven Medical Scribe to support our providers by documenting patient visits in real time and entering history, exams, results, treatment plans and prescriptions into the EHR.

You will help with labs and radiology reports, maintain HIPAA standards, and assist in training other scribes in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or 1 year orthopedic scribe experience.
• CNA, Pre-Med certification are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience; orthopedics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.
