Job summary

OrthoIndy Northwest in West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant for full-time, 36 hours per week with full benefits. The role supports Physicians and clinic staff, guiding patients from arrival through departure and ensuring all needs are met.

The duties include triage, chart accuracy, basic orthopedic procedures, injections coordination with Support Services, and maintaining OSHA/HIPAA compliance. Travel to other OrthoIndy locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Certification from MA/RMA/EMT must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
• BLS certification preferred; no experience required, 1–2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient experience from check-in to check-out and escorts patients within the clinic.
• Triage and assess patient injuries during intake; review health history and reconcile data.
• Prepare daily schedules and ensure needed chart information is present for appointments.
• Perform basic orthopedic procedures and assist with wound care; draw blood as requested.
• Coordinate imaging orders, lab orders, and specimen processing; ensure logs are complete.
