Job summary

OrthoIndy Northwest is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in Indianapolis. You will guide patients from arrival to departure, perform intake triage, and assist with orthopedic procedures as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and MA certification within 1 year; BLS is preferred and prior experience is a plus. Travel to other OrthoIndy locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; specialty training preferred.
• Certification from AAMA, RMA, or EMT must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
• BLs certification preferred.
• No prior experience required; 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient experience from check-in to check-out, coordinating care.
• Triages and assists during intake, documenting vitals and medical history.
• Prepare schedules, review charts, and ensure necessary information is present.
• Assist with basic orthopedic procedures and wound care under supervision.
• Handle imaging orders, lab orders, and specimen processing as needed.
• Provide patient education and stock medical supplies; follow safety standards.
