Job summary

Healthcare Outcomes Performance Co. (HOPCo) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support orthopedic/pain management clinics. You will room patients, obtain vitals, prepare electronic charts, and assist providers with injections and procedures.

The role requires a High school diploma, CMA training, and CMA/MA certification with state regulatory alignment. Experience in orthopedics is preferred; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• 1–2 years of experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management preferred; or CMA training within last 12–18 months with CMA certificate.
• Must pass MA competency exam within six months of employment and hold active MA certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) with proof of membership where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between patient and provider during care; collect and share pertinent information.
• Prepare patient for visit: rooming, vitals, intake paperwork, and EMR data entry.
• Assist with prescriptions and medical forms.
• Maintain exam rooms and restock; monitor biohazard/sharps; ensure HIPAA compliance and patient education.
