THOM Thomas Hospitals in Teays Valley, WV seeks a Medical Assistant to support routine patient care under supervision. Duties include taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers during exams and procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, and CCMA certification, with at least one year of healthcare experience. The role is non-exempt and requires close teamwork in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Current CCMA national certification.

Responsabilités

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms and obtains initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms with clean environment and supplies.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and sets up referrals as needed.
• Assists provider during examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
• Ensures medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists patients with completing medical documentation.
