Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, CMA certification, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Charleston, WV.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• Current National Certification as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• One year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms and obtains initial information and vitals.
• Prepares exam rooms and ensures supplies and cleanliness.
• Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedules appointments and referrals as needed.
• Assists provider during examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
• Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
• Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
