THOM Thomas Hospitals is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, prepare exam rooms, and assist with examinations and procedures. The role includes scheduling, handling basic office tasks, and educating patients on follow-up care.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of clinical experience, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Healthcare education coursework is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 1 year clinical experience.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Healthcare education coursework completed preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms and collects initial information and vital signs.
• Prepares exam rooms and ensures supplies and cleanliness.
• Assists with exams, tests, and procedures as needed.
• Schedules appointments and manages referral contacts.
• Assists providers during examinations and procedures.
• Educates patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintains quality control testing logs and ensures equipment is functional.
• Assists with patient documentation and basic office duties.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of Medical Assistant Program or 1 year clinical experience

BLS certification within 30 days of hire

Healthcare education coursework completed
