Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a division of OrthoLoneStar, seeks an assistant to support physicians with patient care including casting, bracing and related duties. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient privacy, and clinic efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in health care, prefer orthopedics, and hold a high school diploma or MA program certification. Training on EMR and OSHA practices is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assisting completion preferred.
• 1 year health care experience preferred, orthopedics preferred.
• MA certificate preferred; OSHA and EMR knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, including casting and bracing.
• Prepare injections, take vitals, and process H&P forms.
• Review schedules, document in EMR, and manage patient education.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain clinic flow and procedure support.
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and communication with patients.
