Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clerical duties, patient flow, and direct patient care. The role emphasizes accurate vitals, allergy documentation in EHR, scheduling, and coordinating referrals.

Responsibilities include room preparation, maintaining stock, and ensuring smooth patient visits. Travel to satellite offices may be required; pay ranges from $22.02 to $27.07 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Must communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and assist with patient flow.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and prepare information for visits.
• Document vital signs and allergies in EHR accurately.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS/EHR.
• Provide referrals and consultations in a timely manner.
• Adhere to universal precautions and maintain equipment.
