Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with patient flow and procedures. You will prepare examination rooms, escort patients, document in EHR and maintain accurate medication lists.

The role requires good English communication, ability to multitask, and basic computer skills. Travel to satellite offices may be needed; compensation is provided between $22.02 and $27.07 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• 0-1 year related work experience is required.
• 2-4 years related work experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire is required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
• Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit.
• Document in EHR and update medication list.
