Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant for our outpatient clinic. You will support patient exams, coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, and handle front-office tasks while maintaining high quality patient care.

Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred; CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification and CPR are desirable. Experience in orthopedic settings and proficiency with practice management and EHR software are a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CMA) preferred.
• CMA (AAMA), RMA, CCMA, and NCMA preferred.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Experience in an orthopedic healthcare setting is preferred.
• Possess good working knowledge of practice management and EHR software, Google products, Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and inform team of delays.
• Prepare patients for examinations and radiologic studies.
• Assist physicians during examinations as needed.
• Coordinate referrals for ongoing services and patient education.
• Maintain infection control and room readiness.
