Florida Advanced Spine & Orthopedics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians under supervision in Brooksville, FL. You will manage administrative and clinical duties, maintain medical records, schedule appointments, and collect payments for care while taking and recording vital signs and histories.

You will record medical histories, prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, administer medications as directed, and assist with diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 1-year medical assistance experience required.
• Operation of x-ray equipment preferred.
• Prior experience with injections procedures preferred.
• Prior experience with EMRs (eClinical Works, Athena, and other EMRs) preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical laws and ethics.

Responsabilidades

• Record patients' medical history and other pertinent information into the medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and keep the room and workspace clean.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log them, and prepare them for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or other indicated physicians' instructions to patients.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies following guidelines.
• Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing forms.
• Greet and log in patients arriving at the office or clinic.
• Schedule appointments for patients.
• Help physicians examine and treat patients under their direct guidance.
• Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule tests or admission.
• Inventory and submit supply orders for medical, lab, or office supplies or equipment.
• Restock exam rooms with supplies used during the clinic day.
• Operate X-Ray, EKG, or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests with provider assistance.
