Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• Injections procedures preferred.
• Prior experience with EMR systems (eCW, Athena) preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical ethics.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare treatment rooms and keep the workspace clean.
• Interview patients to obtain information and measure vitals.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and log them for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, or instructions to patients.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Perform general office duties such as answering calls and filing forms.
• Greet and log in patients arriving at the office or clinic.
• Schedule appointments for patients and coordinate tests or referrals.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Inventory and restock supplies for medical and lab use.
• Operate X-Ray, EKG, or other equipment as directed.
