Florida Advanced Spine & Orthopedics is seeking a Medical Assistant to work under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The role involves administrative and clinical duties, maintaining medical records, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and assisting with patient examinations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of medical assisting experience, familiarity with EMR systems such as eCW/Athena, and strong communication skills. Travel to various facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.

Responsabilités

• Record patients' medical history and other pertinent information in the medical record.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain cleanliness.
• Measure vital signs and collect medical histories.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Assist with lab specimens and basic testing procedures.
• Explain procedures and instructions to patients.
