Job summary

Orthopaedic Specialty Group is seeking a full-time certified/registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to support urgent care physicians and PAs. Candidates with orthopedic experience are preferred. On-site training will be provided. Location includes Fairfield and surrounding CT sites.

Responsibilities include clinical and administrative tasks, assisting with procedures, imaging, documentation in EMR, and coordinating with specialists and outside services. Excellent patient service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA or RMA certification (AAMA/AMT).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in an orthopedic setting preferred.
• Reliable transportation to Fairfield, CT and other locations (Fairfield/Milford/Shelton/Monroe).
• Night and weekend availability: one weeknight and two Saturdays per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam and obtain history.
• Assist with in-office procedures and imaging.
• Apply/remove splints and casts.
• Document patient information in EMR system.
• Provide administrative and clinical support to urgent care physicians and PAs.
• Assist with durable medical equipment fitting and injections.
• Coordinate with outside services (PT, Radiology).
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and equipment.
