AMG Ortho Surgery in Rockville, MD is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to support patient care and assist clinicians in exam rooms. You will prepare patients, document visits in the EMR, and uphold a safe, confidential clinical environment.

Requirements include CMA certification, a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of clinical experience, BLS, CPT/ICD coding familiarity, and HIPAA compliance. This full-time, 40-hour schedule offers day shifts, with a competitive pay range and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years' experience in a clinical environment preferred.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with CPT & ICD coding and insurance requirements.
• HIPAA, OSHA compliance knowledge.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and assist clinicians in exam rooms.
• Document patient examinations, treatments, and test results into EMR.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and confidential work environment.
• Adhere to infection control and PPE guidelines.
