Job summary

Texas Orthopedics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care, casting and bracing as needed, and to ensure smooth clinic operations across multiple Austin locations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and a Medical Assisting certificate with at least one year of healthcare experience, preferably in orthopedics. Proficiency in EMR systems and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA certificate preferred; formal Medical Assisting training.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting, orthopedics preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical recordkeeping.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR.
• Assist with phlebotomy if certified.
• Coordinate schedules and travel to other clinic locations.
• Support with patient education and care coordination.
