Job summary

Indiana University Health, Inc. is seeking an LPN to support surgical scheduling, patient assessments, and medication administration. The role requires collaboration with RNs and providers in a fast-paced setting at Fort Wayne with some travel to Muncie.

You should be licensed as an LPN in Indiana (or through NLC) and possess Basic Life Support certification. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with travel 4-6 days per month to the satellite office.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Active LPN license in Indiana or NLC LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments within the LPN scope of practice.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications as policy allows (oral, topical, SC, IM).
• Monitor patient status and report concerns to RN or provider.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes.
• Travel to Muncie 4-6 days per month as required.
