Job summary

Indiana University Health, Inc. in Fort Wayne is seeking an experienced RN to join the Orthopedics clinic as an Ambulatory nurse.

You will coordinate surgical scheduling, manage prior authorizations, perform patient triage, and administer injections as the primary clinical nursing resource for the team. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday day shift with a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ASN required.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions for >2 years of relevant experience reviewed by CNO.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
• May assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Awareness of legal implications of patient care activities and RN duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical scheduling for the orthopedic clinic.
• Manage prior authorizations for patient care.
• Perform patient triage and initial assessments.
• Administer injections.
• Serve as the primary clinical nursing resource for the team.
