Job summary

Atrium Health's Musculoskeletal Institute is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP to join the Providence Orthopedics team in a full-time role. The APP will function as part of the Orthopedic Surgical care team across operative, perioperative, and clinic environments.

Responsibilities include surgical first assistant duties, potential clinic coverage, and performing procedures such as injections, splinting, casting, and wound care, with no weekend or holiday call.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice in North Carolina as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP.
• Graduate from an accredited PA or Acute Care NP program with national board certification.
• DEA license required or eligible; prescriptive authority via NC governing board.

Responsibilities

• Surgical first assist and perioperative patient management.
• Potential office clinic coverage; no call, weekends or holiday coverage.
• Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries; interpret imaging.
• Support perioperative coordination; assist in splinting, casting, injections, wound care.
• Collaborate on treatment planning with surgical team.
