Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an orthopedic clinician (PA/NP) specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery to join an independent provider clinic in North Carolina. You will collaborate with supervising physicians to diagnose, design, and execute treatment plans for outpatient hand patients.

The role includes pre- and postoperative management, office-based procedures, and First Assistant responsibilities in the OR. Current NC license and BLS are required; prior orthopedic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current North Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic hand and upper extremity conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic studies including imaging and laboratory testing.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Serve as First Assistant in orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgical procedures.
