Job summary

Advocate Health Care in North Carolina seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the GCMG Sports Medicine team at Lake Norman. 40 hours per week in a clinic and operating room setting, with night and weekend call rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current North Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic hand and upper extremity conditions in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic studies including imaging and laboratory testing.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Serve as First Assistant in orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgical procedures.
