Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Ocala, FL seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support Dr. Christopher Reb, DO in the foot and ankle orthopaedic practice.

You will assess, plan, and provide direct patient care, perform examinations, order tests, and develop treatment plans. The role requires an experienced provider comfortable in a fast-paced setting, capable of independent patient evaluation and pre/post-operative care, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program.
• Current Florida PA/APRN license.
• NCCPA certification (PA) or national APRN certification.
• Orthopaedics/foot-and-ankle clinical experience preferred.
• Pre-operative and post-operative care experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining detailed medical histories and performing comprehensive physical examinations.
• Evaluating and treating orthopaedic injuries of the leg, ankle, foot, and toes.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies (X-rays, imaging, labs).
• Developing treatment plans and providing follow-up care in Dr. Reb’s practice.
• Supporting pre-operative and post-operative patient care and coordination.
• Assisting with immobilization, casts, braces, and wound/therapy coordination.
• Prescribing medications within scope and documenting progress notes.
