Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in orthopedic, sports medicine, rehab, or DME setting preferred.
• Experience providing direct patient care and education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DME for patients at assigned locations.
• Measure and fit orthopedic braces and DME per provider orders.
• Educate patients on proper use, care, and safe handling of devices.
• Explain available DME options to patients clearly.
• Maintain EMR documentation for DME fittings, education, and inventory transactions.
• Collaborate with Providers, Clinical Staff, Billing, Prior Authorization, and Insurance Verification teams to ensure timely care and reimbursement.
• Manage DME inventory: monitor stock, order supplies, organize products, maintain accuracy.
• Serve as primary DME resource for assigned clinics; assist staff with DME processes.
• Assist in onboarding/training staff on DME fitting techniques and workflows.
• Communicate policy updates and process improvements with teams.
• Maintain compliance with DME policies and payer requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned areas and contribute to department success.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
