Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
• CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices
• Proficiency with EMR systems and medical office software

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures: vital signs, wound care, suture removal, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms for patient visits and procedures
• Manage patient intake, document test results, and triage calls as directed
• Maintain daily logs and documentation; ensure accurate records
• Support front desk duties: pre-registering patients, appointments, referrals, and insurance verification
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics; address questions
