Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Radiology Technician to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures in a clinic setting, delivering patient-centered care with safety and quality in mind.

You will operate imaging equipment, explain procedures to patients, follow ALARA principles, and collaborate with physicians and staff to support accurate diagnostic outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in general radiography in a clinic or outpatient setting required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as ordered.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and monitor their condition.
• Maintain radiation safety per ALARA principles and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and repeat as needed.
• Operate mobile radiography equipment in emergencies and at bedside.
• Document information in imaging and EHR systems accurately and timely.
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer first aid as necessary.
• May function as a Medical Assistant if needed and allowed by state law.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and report malfunctions.
