Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in general radiography in a clinic or outpatient setting.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist if applicable by state law required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as ordered by physicians, following department protocols and ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Explains imaging procedures to patients, ensures patient cooperation, and monitors patient condition throughout the procedure.
• Maintains radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and repeats images as needed for accurate interpretation.
• Operates mobile radiography equipment in emergency care and at bedside as required.
• Documents information in imaging and EHR systems accurately and timely.
