Job summary

Careplus in Madison, MS is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform routine and specialized imaging in a clinic setting. The role requires ARRT Radiography Certification and a state-appropriate license, with 0–2 years of radiography experience in outpatient care.

You will support physicians, ensure patient safety, and operate imaging equipment with strict ALARA practices. The position is full-time, on-site in Brandon/Madison area, with benefits including medical/dental/vision and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of general radiography experience in a clinic or outpatient setting.
• ARRT radiography certification required; valid licensure per state law.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as ordered by physicians, following department protocols and ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Explains imaging procedures to patients, ensures patient cooperation, and monitors patient condition throughout the procedure.
• Practices radiation safety per ALARA principles and regulatory standards to protect patients and staff.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and repeats as needed for accurate interpretation.
• Operates mobile radiography equipment in emergency care and bedside settings as required.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition; reports malfunctions promptly.
• Documents required information in imaging and electronic health record systems accurately and timely.
• Responds to medical emergencies, including adverse reactions to contrast media, and administers first aid as necessary.
• May function as a Medical Assistant (MA) if needed and as allowed by state law.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
