Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform imaging procedures under the direction of the Director or Manager of the Radiology Department.

Requirements include graduation from a Radiology program, ARRT registration, and BCLS. Responsibilities cover patient prep, contrast administration, positioning, QC, and accurate reporting of scans, with flexibility across shifts to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology program required.
• Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; ARRT registration; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patients on procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient condition.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and takes corrective action.
• Enter, transmits, and reports scan results accurately; supports departmental service levels.
• Performs quality control checks and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
