Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with 1–2 years of coding experience to join our orthopedics-focused team. You will translate clinical documentation into CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes and ensure accurate E/M coding with CMS compliance guidance.

Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential, along with familiarity with HCPCS, ICD-10, and CPT guidelines. Strong attention to detail and collaboration with providers are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
• 1-2 years of coding experience.
• Proficient in HCPCS, ICD-10, and CPT coding guidelines, as well as medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Translate all clinical documentation into CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Apply technical coding principles and reimbursement rules to ensure accurate E/M coding.
• Partner with healthcare providers to verify that documentation supports coding accuracy and completeness.
• Provide guidance to clinical staff on CMS regulations, coding, billing, and documentation standards.
• Manage an assigned provider workload and maintain coding productivity.
• Monitor documentation and coding practices to identify compliance risks or missed revenue opportunities.
• Stay current on CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and payer coding guidelines.
• Research and resolve coding and billing questions.
• Participate in department, clinic, or company meetings as required.
• Ensure adherence to compliance regulations in all coding activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
