Job summary

Nemours seeks a Cast Tech to join our Wilmington, DE team. The role supports providers with casting, casts adjustments, and patient preparation across clinics and satellite locations as needed.

You will apply and remove casts and splints, assist in fracture care, document patient interventions in the EMR, educate families on follow-up care, and help maintain inventory and exam room readiness.

Qualifications

• One year of training beyond high school is required.
• National Board of Certification Technologists preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust, and remove casts and splints. Modify casts as needed.
• Cover injured areas with protective materials and ensure aseptic technique.
• Assist orthopaedic providers in fracture reduction and other procedures.
• Perform suture and dressing changes and monitor wound care.
• Instruct patients and guardians on cast care and follow‑up procedures.
• Maintain inventory of casting materials and soft goods.
