Job summary

Qualifications

  • One year of training beyond high school.
  • Certification by the National Board of Certification Technologists preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Application, adjustment, and removal of casts, splints, and soft goods; modify as needed.
  • Prepare patient with aseptic technique and assist in ring/field setup.
  • Assist orthopedic providers in fracture reduction and procedures.
  • Suture/staple removal and dressing changes.
  • Instruct patients and guardians on cast care and follow-up.
  • Maintain inventory of casting materials and equipment.
  • Document patient information and ICD-10 codes in EMR.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and coordinate pre-authorization.
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms; room patients for exams; assist providers.
  • Provide cross-coverage to Delaware Valley satellite offices.
