Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Orthopedic Patient Care Coordinator to support clinicians and keep clinic operations smooth.

You will handle clerical tasks, verify patient information, coordinate care plans, and assist with meetings and communications to ensure timely treatment. This on-site role requires a High School Diploma, strong computer skills, and a year of medical office clerical or billing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must demonstrate basic personal computer skills.
• One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting. Medical records experience strongly preferred. Must have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient use of medical practice software to maintain patient data.
• Participates in departmental clinical outcomes projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Implements and coordinates patient care needs to facilitate the plan of care.
• Demonstrates commitment to work partners to promote trust and team morale.
• Assist physician with meetings, depositions and lectures as necessary.
• Responsible for assessment and coordination of patient care for outcomes.
• Verifies patient appointments, insurances and in office procedure authorizations; mails letters including surgical postings and instructions; triages calls.
• Assist with physicians, physician assistants, and other disciplines involved with care to foster coordinated care.
• Communicate with physician regarding changes to the medical plan of care to avoid delays.
• Demonstrates ICARE behaviors to improve the patient’s experience.
