Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive clinical support across multiple Minnesota locations, including Hastings. The role includes rooming patients, taking histories, and coordinating care with physicians and providers; travel to outreach sites is required.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (required)
• Masters of Athletic Training (preferred)
• Bachelors of Athletic Training (required)
• 1 year: Newly graduated applicants will be considered; 1+ years as ATC/orthopedic/clinical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain patient health histories, and perform initial and secondary assessments of patients.
• Document patient information and care in the medical record.
• Complete forms and documentation needed by patients, employers, or insurance companies.
• Assess post-operative wounds and provide standardized wound care instructions.
• Provide standardized patient education instructions, verbal or written.
• Act as liaison between patient/family and physician; support clinical staff with orthopedic questions.
• Travel to Summit outreach locations and/or athletic events as assigned.
• Clean and stock patient exam rooms.
