Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our patient-first team. In this full-time float role, you will work with physicians and providers, cover multiple clinics, and help assess patients, document care, and educate patients.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; you must be flexible to float to all Summit locations across the Twin Cities area. Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus; comprehensive total rewards package including medical,

Qualifications

• Masters of Athletic Training preferred.
• Bachelor's of Athletic Training required.
• Certification as Athletic Trainer (ATC) and state licensure required.
• 1 year of experience; newly graduated considered; orthopedic/clinical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain health histories, and perform initial/secondary assessments.
• Document patient information and care in medical record.
• Complete forms for patients, employers, or insurers.
• Assess post-operative wounds and provide wound care instructions.
• Provide standardized patient education verbally or in writing.
• Act as liaison between patient/family and physician; assist clinical staff with orthopedic questions.
• Travel to Summit outreach locations and/or events as assigned.
• Clean and stock exam rooms.
