Job summary

MUSC Health Orangeburg Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Orthopedic Surgery team. Work closely with orthopedic surgeons to support clinic operations, inpatient management, surgical coordination, and postoperative follow-up.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Provider: NP or PA.
• Orthopedic, surgical, hospital medicine, or acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills.
• Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage orthopedic inpatients in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and hospital teams.
• Conduct daily rounding, patient evaluations, admissions, consultations, and discharges.
• Assist with perioperative care coordination and postoperative management.
• Support orthopedic surgical workflows and continuity of care across inpatient services.
• Participate in patient and family education to optimize recovery and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with nursing, rehabilitation, case management, and ancillary teams.
• Contribute to a culture centered on teamwork, efficiency, and patient-centered care.
