Job summary

This position involves evaluating orthopedic patients, coordinating care, and assisting in the operating room as needed, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NH and VT Physician's Assistant License or APRN License.
• Current DEA license.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years of orthopedic care experience.
• Experience assisting in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Support orthopedic physician in comprehensive general orthopedic care.
• Evaluate assigned orthopedic patients in the APD Orthopedic Clinic.
• Obtain history and perform physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; communicate results.
• Provide treatment within scope and obtain appropriate consultations.
• Assist with surgical procedures when indicated.
• Document visits and plans in the medical record.
• Obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Maintain timely communication with supervising physicians.
