Job summary

Dartmouth Health’s Orthopaedics Department seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) for primary duties at New London Hospital, NH. The role will involve clinic care across orthopaedic conditions, pre/postoperative education, history taking, physical exams, and coordinating diagnostic tests in collaboration with orthopedists.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Current certification to practice as a PA or APRN in NH.
• Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program.
• National specialty certification as RNFA or NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Initiate diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient’s condition.
• Assess findings, history, systems, physical exam and tests.
• Develop and manage therapeutic regimens with Orthopaedists.
• Perform complete history and physical examinations.
• Provide pre- and postoperative education and ongoing support.
• Promote teamwork and patient-centered care.
