Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under supervision of a physician to promote patient health.
• Obtain a detailed patient history and record findings in patient records.
• Perform a thorough physical examination, diagnose injuries/illness, and provide treatments.
• Administer injections and manage wounds and infections.
• Order, perform, interpret and schedule diagnostic studies when appropriate.
• Counsel on health habits, exercise, tobacco and alcohol.
• Instruct on supervising physician orders and related therapies.
• Assist in management of hospitalized patients and coordinate follow-up care.
• Understand and comply with PA/NP practice laws in the state.
