Job summary

The Hughston Clinic seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to support Foot and Ankle services at Centennial and Hendersonville offices. You will work under a physician, assisting with patient assessments and procedures.

Required: NCCPA board certification, Master’s degree in a PA program, current state license, BLS, and DEA. Two+ years PA experience, orthopedics preferred. Responsibilities include history taking, exams, ordering tests, prescribing, and postoperative care with HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• PA must have NCCPA Board Certification.
• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited PA program.
• Current State License, BLS certification, and DEA are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under physician supervision to promote patient health.
• Take a detailed patient history and document findings.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnose injuries/illnesses, and treat/wound care.
• Prescribe medications and administer injections.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies; coordinate follow-up.
• Educate patients on health habits and post-care routines.
• Assist in hospital and surgical care under physician supervision.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
