Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking full-time Clinical Associates for renewable terms of up to three years. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in hand surgery and trauma reconstruction at the Hyde Park location and affiliated off sites in Crown Point, IN, Harvey, IL, Tinley Park, IL, and other sites as determined by the section.

These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate or equivalent required.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery required.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or equivalent required.
• Fellowship in orthopaedic hand surgery welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in orthopaedic hand surgery and trauma reconstruction.
• Positions based at Hyde Park with affiliate sites in Crown Point, IN, Harvey, IL, Tinley Park, IL, and other sites as determined by the section.
• No teaching or scholarly activity is required.

Job description

The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking full-time Clinical Associates for renewable terms of up to three years. The appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in orthopaedic hand surgery and trauma reconstruction of musculoskeletal injuries at the Hyde Park location and affiliated off sites in Crown Point, IN, Harvey, IL, Tinley Park, IL, and other sites as determined by the section. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:

• have a medical doctorate or equivalent
• hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois

• have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent
