Job summary

Cook County Health in Chicago, IL seeks an Attending Physician XII in Orthopedic Hand Surgery to provide clinical and surgical services within the Surgery/Orthopedics department. You will supervise fellows, residents, and students while contributing to on-call coverage and research activities.

Adhere to departmental policies and IRB-approved trials. The role requires board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or a pathway toward certification within five years, and a Hand Surgery Fellowship

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited college or university is required.
• Licensed as a Physician and Surgeon in Illinois prior to starting employment is required.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or current pathway to certification within 5 years is required.
• Hand Surgery Fellowship completion is required before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and treatment services for orthopedic hand conditions.
• Work four clinical days per week and maintain 2080 hours per year as specified.
• Obtain and maintain surgical privileges and stay clinically active at JHSH/Provident Hospital.
• Complete thorough medical record documentation per guidelines.
• Participate in on-call rotations and attend required divisions meetings.
