Job summary

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and orient them to the clinical environment.
• Prepare patients for treatments ensuring comfort.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials for procedures.
• Remove excess cement from brackets and orthodontic bands.
• Assist with bracket placement.
• Remove and replace ligatures.
• Pre-select bands and place separators.
• Remove and place orthodontic wires.
• Take impressions and bite registrations; assist retainer fabrication.
• Assist team with additional duties as needed.

Job description

This position allows you to work in a team setting with a group of equal minded dental professionals

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in the dental office
• Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Removing excess cement from brackets and orthodontic bands
• Bracket set-up
• Ligature removal and replacement
• Pre-selection of orthodontic bands and separator placement
• Wire removal and placement
• Taking impression and bite registrations and Fabrication orthodontic retainers
• Other duties as assigned to assist team

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
