Desort is seeking a Dental Assistant in Cordele, GA to support dentists in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care. The role includes chairside assistance, patient preparation, radiography, infection control, and treatment documentation across various dental procedures.

The candidate will assist orthodontists with brackets, wires, aligners, and lab cases, while ensuring accurate records and a smooth patient flow in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Dental Assisting program or 1+ year of experience.
• Current Dental Assisting Permit required.
• Current CPR certification.
• X-ray certification required for chairside duties.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and orthodontists during procedures.
• Prepare and set up treatment rooms and equipment.
• Take dental impressions, digital scans, radiographs and records as directed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control procedures.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene and appliance care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate lab cases.
