Job summary

Making Smiles Orthodontics in Madison, AL, seeks an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced setting. You will perform bracket placements, debonding, digital scans, X-rays, and patient photography while educating patients on care and appliance use.

You will work closely with the orthodontist and team to maintain efficient, high-quality care. A 1+ year dental assisting background and radiography credentials are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• X-ray/radiography certification required.
• Certified Orthodontic Assistant preferred.
• Proven track record as a dental assistant with 1+ year experience.
• Experience with digital scanning, dental photography, and X-ray tech.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Perform bracket placements and debonding with precision.
• Take high-quality digital scans, X-rays, and clinical photographs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance maintenance.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms for safe, organized care.
• Collaborate with orthodontist and staff to keep appointments on schedule.
