Making Smiles Orthodontics in Madison, AL is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support clinical procedures, imaging, and patient education in a fast-paced, modern practice.

The role requires 1+ year of dental assisting experience, with orthodontic background preferred. Proficiency in CEREC and iTero is expected, along with X-ray/radiography certification and CPR. Monday–Friday schedule with PTO and career growth opportunities.

• Years of Professional Experience: 1+ years in dental assisting; orthodontic experience a plus.
• Proficiency: Digital scanning, dental photography, and X-ray technology.

Responsabilités

• Perform adjustments, place brackets, and manage debonding with precision.
• Take high-quality digital scans, X-rays, and clinical photography.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms for safe procedures.
• Collaborate with Orthodontist and staff to keep appointments on schedule.

Pay

• $20 - $25 per hour
• Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
• Software Experience: CEREC, iTero
• Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 1+ years of practice

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Dental Assisting experience is required. (Previous Orthodontic experience is a significant plus!)

Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital scanning, dental photography, and X-ray technology.

Core Competencies: Must be highly reliable, coachable, and motivated to learn new clinical techniques.

Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional patient interaction skills and a \"team-first\" mentality are essential for success in this role.

Job Description
